Do you offer private classes?

Where do the classes take place?

The classes are conducted through an online Zoom meeting. You will receive a pre-training email one week before the course begins, which will contain the meeting link and additional important information.

When do classes take place?

Public classes are held from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM US Eastern Time (ET). Each public class is 8 hours long, spread over 2 days, 4 hours each day. Private classes according to the agreement.

What are the equipment/application requirements for attending?

A working camera and microphone are needed so you can communicate with the rest of the group - both in the main room and in the labs. A local Docker Desktop or equivalent (e.g. podman) with at least 4GB of RAM allocated to it is also needed, so you can drive or follow along in labs.

What should I do before class?

Make sure you have your setup ready: have Zoom and Docker Desktop (or equivalent, e.g. podman) installed, then make sure that your camera and microphone work with Zoom and that the provided docker-compose works and you can connect to the search engine. You will receive all the needed information in the pre-training email, see below.

When will you send me the training material?

We send “pre-training” emails about a week before each class starts. If you buy your ticket later than that, you'll get the email ASAP, typically the same day.

This pre-training email contains: training material (i.e. a long PDF full of good information, snippets, lab exercises, potential answers, etc.), the docker-compose file, some text files with sample commands, and a docker-compose file to get your setup running.

What if I miss a class?

If you let us know at least 5 days before the class that you will miss a class, we can include your name on the list of attendees for the upcoming training session.

Can I reschedule my participation in class?

Certainly, you have the option to reschedule your participation in the upcoming training session as long as you inform us at least 5 days prior to the class.

How can I get a refund? What do I need to do to get a refund?

You can get a refund if you email us at least 5 days before the class starts.

Can I ask questions about the material in the class after the training is over?

There's plenty of time to ask questions during the class because our training is interactive. We actively encourage participants to ask questions at any point during the class. We will answer follow up questions sent up to 24 hours after the class. 🙂

Can I record the class?

No, you can't record the class.

What are the payment options?

When you sign up for public classes you have the option of paying with a credit card. If you need us to invoice you, we can do that as well.

Can you invoice us instead of needing to sign up online and pay with a CC?
