Datadog starts their paid plans at $15 per host per month, and that’s if you opt to be billed annually. If you cannot or just don’t want to commit to pay for the full year in advance, then you’ll pay $18/host/month. On the other hand, Sematext Monitoring is only $3.6 per month per host without commitment. All the same insight at a quarter of the price. And you’re not trapped in an annual billing plan. 

Affordable & comprehensive Synthetic monitoring

Datadog charges you based on the number of test runs per month. API testing costs $5 per ten thousand runs. For browser tests, you’ll be charged $12 per 1,000 runs, billed annually.

If you choose Sematext Synthetics, you’ll only pay $2 per API monitor and $7 per browser monitor in a Pay As You Go plan. The big difference here is that Sematext allows you to run up to 200,000 API and 15,000 browser tests per month. Sematext also offers monthly plans that give you better deals and more test runs.
