FAQs

What is Loggly used for?

Loggly is used primarily for Log Management and Analytics for DevOps teams. It’s designed to help correlate data ingested from multiple locations in order to control and enrich their data.

How does Loggly compare to Sematext?

Loggly and Sematex both offer Log Management as a solution. However, Loggly doesn’t provide anywhere near the capabilities that Sematext does alone. In order to get the same level of observability, you would have to buy more SolarWinds products, which is costly.

How much does Loggly cost?

Loggly has a free but very limited plan that only offers 200MB of ingested data per day, but no alerting.

The Standard plan starts at $79 per month and comes with 1GB of ingested data per day and 15 days of retention. Next, you have the Pro plan, which starts at $159 per month and can go all the way up to 100GB per day. Of course, the more ingested data you sign up for, the higher the bill.

Lastly, you have their Custom plan, which starts at $279 per month. With this plan, the sky’s the limit, which also applies to your bill. It’s also important to note that with all of these plans, they only offer annual plans, which means that you must commit to an entire year of these listed prices, all billed to you at once.
