Block Actions That Violate Your Policies

AI agents run with real permissions on your infrastructure. A coding assistant can execute a destructive command, read a private key, or connect to an internal service it shouldn’t access. AI Agent Watch Governance lets you define restrictions and block matching operations on the host.
Block commands by executable name, path, or command-line arguments, including risky shell commands and force pushes.
Restrict access to credential files, private keys, environment files, and the Docker socket.
Block network activity by destination IP, port, network range, or TLS hostname.
Deny the matching operation while allowing the AI agent process to continue running.

Apply the Right Restrictions to Each Agent

Different agents and workloads need different permissions. Define conditions for the actions you want to block, then scope each policy to the agents and infrastructure where it should apply.
Apply policies to all monitored AI agents or only agents you haven’t marked as trusted.
Narrow policies by host, cluster, namespace, pod, or agent type.
Give different agents different restrictions on the same infrastructure.
Create as many governance policies as you need, with no limit on policy count.

See What Was Blocked, Where, and by Which Agent

Every blocked operation is recorded as an event. Security and platform teams can review enforcement activity alongside the agent and session context needed to understand what happened.
Review blocked tool executions, file access, and network activity in the Governance report.
See which AI agent attempted the operation and which host it happened on.
Inspect the blocked command, file, or network destination and the condition that matched.
Follow enforcement activity over time and filter events to investigate specific actions.

Get Notified When Enforcement Needs Your Attention

Create an alert rule directly from the policy editor to assign priorities to enforcement events. Turn on notifications when you want to be notified, or review the recorded events without receiving alerts.
Assign priorities to matching events and include them in agent and session risk scoring.
Receive optional notifications through configured email recipients and notification hooks.
Inspect triggered alerts showing the blocked action, AI agent, host, and related events.
Keep policies enforcing and events recording independently of notification settings.
