Service Level Objectives and Error Budgets

July 28, 2026

For each synthetic monitor you can now create one or more SLOs (Service Level Objectives), choosing between three SLIs (Service Level Indicators):

  1. Availability
  2. Throughput
  3. Latency

Create SLO

Each SLO’s Error Budget is computed based on the SLO Target that you specify. For each SLO you can define zero or more Alert Rules of three different types:

  1. Fast Burn Rate
  2. Error Budget Consumption
  3. Compliance Level

SLO Alerts

These Alerts use the existing Alerting Notification Hooks to notify you. Additionally, you will see these alerts on the existing Alerts and Events screens.

Finally, each SLO’s Error Budget is charted over time, and you can see which alerts have been fired and when.

SLO Error Budget and Compliance Charts and Alerts

You can see details of individual SLO alerts by clicking on the orange alerts heatbar.

Related SLOs can be grouped in SLO Reports. All SLO Reports are shown on the left side.

SLO Reports

You can access each synthetic monitor’s SLOs from the left side on the monitor screen.
